16 April 2019 – On 21st of March, a half-day seminar dedicated to the periodic table was organized in Florence, Italy and attended by more than one hundred high school students.
The day was opened by a lecture on the story “Carbon” from Primo Levi’s “The Periodic Table”. Three oral presentations followed. The topics of the talks were on the story of the periodic table, its cultural influence, and the element scarcity. The day ended with an interactive “periodic” quiz using the game-based learning platform kahoot!
