IUPAC will be hosting an online quiz about the Periodic Table of the Elements. The online challenge will be aimed at a global audience of young students. Questions about the elements will quiz their knowledge and inform them of the relevant work of IUPAC.
The global challenge will be launched in January 2019 and is available all year until the end of 2019.
Furthermore, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of IUPAC and the International Year of the Periodic Table, IUPAC and IYCN announce the creation of a Periodic Table of Younger Chemists. They will honor a diverse group of 118 outstanding younger chemists from around the world who in embody the mission and core values of IUPAC.
The European Young Chemists' Network (EYCN) organizes the second edition of the video competition Chemistry Rediscovered in 2019 in honour of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT2019). For this competition, young chemists (12-35 years old) from all over Europe are invited to send in creative videos of maximum 90 seconds on the theme 'In Your Element'.
